Asotin County Landfill Has the Following Open Positions Solid Waste Supervisor ($66,970.55 - $77,833.88 per year) Performs responsible supervisory and administrative work planning, scheduling, evaluating, and supervising the operations of all County sanitary and inert landfill operations, as well as household hazardous waste and recycling operations. Duties are varied and require considerable knowledge of the functions and equipment common to landfills and household hazardous waste facilities. Considerable knowledge is also required of all federal, state, and local laws concerning the handling and disposal of all types of waste. Work is normally performed in an office setting within the framework of the State of Washington Department of Ecology (DOE) Regulations relating to Minimum Functional Standards for Solid Waste Handling. Landfill Tech II ($24.08 - $28.57 per hour) under Collective Bargaining This is a full-time position (40 hours per week). The purpose of this position is to perform routine sub-professional level engineering and landfill technician work for the Solid Waste Divisions of the Asotin County Public Works Department. Work performed includes assisting the Solid Waste Division by accomplishment of environmental monitoring activities, participation in the household hazardous waste facility operation, and participation in recycling operations.
