Veterans Service Officer - This position is responsible for assisting veterans and their family members with applying for veterans' benefits, programs and services including working a flexible schedule to assist those unable to meet during normal business hours. Assist veterans and their family members who receive VA disability benefits in obtaining eligible additional benefits to include VA healthcare, education assistance, vocational rehabilitation, and other assistance programs to improve their quality of life. Initiate and maintain good working relationships with key personnel including all county offices, cities, districts, veteran organizations, Whitman County veterans advisory board, Washington Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA), and other state and federal agencies. Starting Salary : $4042/month Full Salary Range : $4042-$4831 Open Until Filled. Minimum Qualifications : High school diploma or GED. Must be a Veteran. Must have experience working with Veterans. Experience and established relationships working with local, state, and Federal Veteran Agencies are highly preferred. Must have valid government issued Driver’s license.
